Inspired by the lack of quality childcare, Deke Cooper and wife Gwen set out to address this predicament. With 6 children of our own, a childcare center with a focus on excellence and spiritual balance was a priority. Few daycares fit those criteria, so we founded "Future Leaders Christian Academy", a learning center focused on spiritual morals and values. The Academy will serve infants through 4 year olds, and have an after school program for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

We go beyond just caring for the children we serve. At an early age, we teach our children the importance of spiritual wholesomeness, self worth and moral values. We help develop the necessary skills for advanced fundamental growth.

The Deke Cooper Youth Outreach Foundation is committed to helping Atlanta's disadvantaged youth develop the skills needed to break the cycle of poverty, abuse, and violence that destroy our youth. In addition to working with the students at the academy, this partnership allows us to reach out to youth ages 13-17. Well-Trained and Dedicated Staff
All of our teachers and care givers meet and surpass certification requirements. A low teacher to student ratio provides constant supervision and positive interaction.

Extended hours and days/Enrichment Activities
If you have to work or just need a break, our week extends to Saturday from 10am-3pm. While most daycares are open until 6pm, we are open until 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Future Leaders After-school Program will provide children with a choice of karate or dance in an effort to meet the demands of parents schedules along with the necessity of nurturing our children's mind and body.

New Playground and Computer Lab
We have a fully equipped computer lab for all our children 2 years and above. In a modern society based on computers it is never to early to teach this life skill to children.

We have built a 22,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art play area to promote physical growth and social interaction with other children.

WINGS Curriculum
Finally, an effective curriculum designed to guide children from infancy through the preschooler years written by a teacher for teachers! Based on two decades of practical teaching experience with a design exceeding NAEYC's recommendations for effective early childhood curriculum, assessment and evaluation, WINGS: The Ideal Curriculum for Children in Preschool is an active and interactive learning plan for effectively organizing and implementing developmentally & culturally appropriate practices based on the interests, needs and skill levels of children from birth to age 5.

FLCA Structure
We structure our daily activities to that of a private school. Children as young as two years old will receive at home interactive activities to enhance our advanced developmental programs. All our children are required to wear uniforms. This keeps the focus on learning and not on clothes. We provide weekly progress reports to show your child's growth and to keep open communication lines between the academy and parents.
